All the TVs in the house are smart TVs and are already set up to use the house WiFi to stream using your favorite app. You will need to log in using your credentials for your subscription.
Local Channels
All TVs also have the ability to watch the major local network TV stations using a digital antenna. There are over 100 channels that we receive locally, but the major ones (CBS, NBC, ABC, Fox, Telemundo, Univision) are typically loaded in a shortcut list.
The local channels are:
2.1 NBC WESH 2 Orlando
3.1 PBS
6.1 CBS WKMG
9.1 ABC WFTV Orlando
18.1 CW Orlando
31.1 WTMO Telemundo Orlando
35.1 FOX 35 Orlando
43.1 Univision Orlando
Some of the TVs have the ability to use the TabloTV app. The TabloTV is on the main entertainment center and can stream to up to 4 TVs simultaneously. It gives access to the local digital channels with a DVR functionality, giving you the ability to pause live TV etc. It can also be set to record shows to watch later. The TV out on the patio can ONLY stream live TV using the Tablo app because it does not have an antenna connection.
To Watch TV on the Living Room Entertainment Center use the Harmony Universal Remote
The easiest way to start watching the TV is hit the WATCH SMART TV button. This will turn on the TV and the home theater receiver and set it to the appropriate settings.
Listen to music on all speakers in the house
Mickey’s Sunset Villa has speakers in every room and 2 sets of speakers on the patio. Each room has a volume control on the wall. If you don’t want to hear music in any room, simply turn the volume all the way to the left for that room.
Step 1 for listening to music over all speakers is hit the ALL HOUSE SPEAKERS button. This will enable the 5 speakers in the living room AND all the speakers throughout the house and on the patio.
You can stream music to the stereo several different ways such as Bluetooth and Apply Airplay. To use Apple Airplay, join the house WiFi (you MUST be on the 7903 Rising Sun WiFi network) and then follow along with the pictures below.
Select the Airplay button at the bottom to find Airplay devices

Please be considerate with the volume level of outdoor music
Please be mindful that the outdoor speakers can be quite loud and that sound travels EXTREMELY WELL across the water. The Wall Mounted speakers can easily be heard by our neighbors across the lake. If you have the speakers loud enough to easily hear over the noise of the hot tub, then the neighbors will be rocking along with you. Please be considerate. Quiet hours in the neighborhood are from 10 PM to 8 AM.
Outdoor TV
The outdoor TV on the patio has a remote on the wall just inside the adjacent doors. Please do not leave the remote outside or take it in the pool. If the remote is water damaged, you will be charged for a replacement. To watch local TV channels on the outdoor TV, use the Tablo TV app. PLEASE NOTE: There is a WiFi access point (the white plug) plugged in with the TV and it must be plugged in to get a strong signal.
Baby Gear
We are happy to offer all kinds of gear to make your baby’s stay as comfortable and fun as possible! In the Mickey/Minnie Mouse room, the closet is packed full of strollers, a high chair, 2 feeding chairs that can be clamped to the adult table, a pack ‘n’ play, a baby gate and more. Please remember to bring the strollers back from the parks with you 🙂
The red Baby Trend stroller is a sit/stand stroller that is great for taking to the parks and carrying loads of gear as well as a baby/toddler and an older sibling standing in the back.
High Chair and Pack ‘n PlayStrollers galore
House Alarm
We recommend that you do NOT use the house alarm. Formosa Gardens is a gated community with a very low crime rate and you should feel very safe in this neighborhood. The alarm really serves as a home automation hub, and is sometimes used if the house sits empty for several weeks during the off-season, but mostly is just there to help us manage the air conditioning and door locks. We do not use it when we stay at the house.
If you do choose to arm the alarm, it will require a code to disarm it / disable the alarm going off. The code is on the sticker on the alarm panel. Note that the alarm will not arm if the doors leading to the garage are open, and it will alert (very loudly) if any of the doors in the home are opened once it is armed.
The alarm is NOT monitored and will not call out to the police, security services or EMS. It only makes noise.
This Alarm panel has NOTHING to do with the pool alarm. The doors that lead to the pool patio area are required by Florida law to have a pool alarm and cannot be disabled. They are a separate system and are not affected by the home security panel.
